Mary Barber

As a senior advisor at Three Cairns Group, Mary brings nearly twenty years of New York City and New York State government and non-profit experience as a dedicated advocate for climate action and clean energy. In her most recent role as State Director for New York and New Jersey at Environmental Defense Fund, she spearheaded initiatives to advance science-based climate policies. She helped lead the coalition that implemented Congestion Pricing in New York City and played a pivotal role in the passage of the New Jersey Clean Energy Act of 2018. Notable campaigns include NYC Clean Heat, which phased out the use of the dirtiest heating fuels, leading to the cleanest air quality in fifty years in New York City.
