Sara Meyers
Chief Operating Officer for the Climate Institute
Sara brings over 15 years of public sector leadership experience, specializing in the implementation of large-scale, cross-sector initiatives. Most recently, she served as the founding Chief of Staff and COO of the CHIPS Program Office at the U.S. Department of Commerce, helping build and scale a $39 billion initiative to strengthen domestic semiconductor manufacturing. Prior to CHIPS, Sara held senior leadership roles in education, housing, and disaster recovery, including as Deputy Superintendent of the DC State Education Agency and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Federal Housing Administration. She also led the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force's Program Management Office, earning a Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
