Three Cairns was delighted to welcome its fourth cohort of Yale School of the Environment (YSE) Three Cairns Scholars to our office on October 16th. Part of the YSE Three Cairns Climate Program for the Global South, the Scholars program supports environmental leaders pursuing graduate study and preparing to advance climate solutions in their home countries and regions.
The 19 scholars from nine countries bring perspectives grounded in their areas of interest and their home regions, including environmental law and Indigenous rights in Brazil, climate finance and forest governance in Ghana, and sustainable food systems in Nepal, among others. Their visit offered a chance to connect across these different areas of work, exchange ideas with the Three Cairns team, and find common ground in the challenges they hope to tackle.
