Mark Gallogly

Mark's background is in investing, philanthropy and public policy. He is a co-founder of Centerbridge Partners, an investment firm with over $30 billion of assets under management, from which he retired in 2020. Previously, his 35-year career included serving as Global Head of Private Equity at The Blackstone Group. He served on President Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness (2010–2012) and on the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board (2008–2010). Most recently, he served at the U.S. State Department as an Expert Senior Advisor to Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry. He earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from Columbia University. Mark serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Columbia University and on the Board of Advisors at the Columbia Climate School.
